Mattingly’s love for children adds to pediatric team

For Emily Mattingly, choosing a career path involving children was always an obvious choice.

Mattingly works as a nurse practitioner at Ennis Pediatrics and said she’s been around children her entire working life.
“I’ve always had a job working with kids,” Mattingly said. “Even when they’re sick, for the most part, they’re pretty playful.”
Mattingly obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing at University of Texas Arlington before going on to Texas Woman’s University to get her master’s degree as a pediatric nurse practitioner.
“When I was in nursing school I pretty much knew I wanted to keep going,” Mattingly said.
