Murder case delayed

Nick Todaro, [email protected]

Court records confirm a new tentative date for the Lynda Cayard murder trial in April.

Jury selection has been set April 28, according to records from the 40th Judicial District Court. Cayard was previously scheduled to go to trial Jan. 27, but that date has been pushed back. The defendant also has new counsel: She is reportedly now represented by Texas firm Schulte and Apgar after prior representation by Mark Griffith.
