The two incumbents on the Saturday ballot in Ennis each claimed victory in their respective races — but the story of the day was perhaps the slimmest-in-town margin of victory that decided the Ward 3 commission race.
Jeremie Salik, incumbent commissioner in Ward 1, beat out former commissioner and challenger Red Sanders by a 21-vote margin, defeating Sanders 64-43.
