New community proposed

The Ellis County Commissioners court heard a presentation from an international development company on a potential new community to be built near Ferris, during which local resident Amy Hedtke was removed from the courtroom.

Shai Roos with Walton Development and Management proposed the formation of a new Fresh Water Supply District to be located in the city of Ferris extraterritorial jurisdiction south of Farm Road 644 and east of Farm Road 983 that would serve the proposed new community.
