Noon Lions softball came into Tuesday afternoon’s TTAS junior state tourney game in Mildred facing a must-win situation, and the Ennis squad was up to the challenge.
The Noon Lions (NL) actually scored the winning runs during a 4-1 first inning, as they went on to beat the Denison Phillies 9-2. NL finished with more hits (10-4) and errors (5-4).
