Officer safely douses rig fire

Randy Owen of the Ennis Police Department pulled over an 18-wheeler on northbound Interstate 45 on Monday night after he saw flames coming from the truck’s rear brakes. He said he put the fire out with his personal fire extinguisher before Ennis Fire Department personnel arrived. No one was hurt in the incident.
