Officers save man from fire

Ennis police Officer Chad Bolton and Cpl. Brad Sherrard reportedly evacuated a man from a burning building in the wee hours this morning in the 600 block of W. Denton Street as fire destroyed the home.
The structure fire left the home seriously damaged, but a cost estimate and cause for the blaze were unknown and under investigation as of press time today, said Ennis Fire Marshal Gary Howell.
