Outdoor burning took center stage at Monday morning’s Ellis County Commissioners’ Court meeting, with the tax rate vote meriting only a modicum of discussion.
Fire Marshal Joe Stewart presented a renewal of the county’s burn ban while sparking debate on how to handle trash burning in the unincorporated parts of the county.
