Property owners along Ennis Avenue face the decision of whether to rebuild or demolish the structures damaged three months ago on May 16, and several are preparing a path to demolition even though they don’t want to end up tearing down the structures and leaving voids in their wake.

Downtown property owners whose buildings were catastrophically damaged by the May 16 tornado are hedging their bets: Working on finding investors to buy their property while also clearing the path for demolition if that becomes necessary.
It’s been three months. Keith Jantz, Buddy Markham and Fred Rose have come forward to seek demolition approval from the Historic Landmark Commission.
