Palmer looks at swap meet space

The city of Palmer could be seeing some high-profile swap meets coming to town in the near future, after the City Council voted to approve a key zoning change request from businessman Jack Witt.
Witt applied to change the zoning on a rough total of 60 acres of property at 1400 N. Interstate 45 to “C-1 Commercial District” with a special use permit for “combined business operation,” permitting activities including car and and equipment shows, sales, swap meets and related activities.
