After more than 30 years of asking, Ennis has been told it will soon have the necessary funding support to complete a highway project that began as a way to clear up congestion on U.S. 287.
The prospect of a complete U.S. 287 Bypass project seemed out reach for a long time to the officials and stakeholders who have worked with the state transportation authority to see the work done.
