Police chief: City needs new facility

Police Chief John Erisman made his case for a new law enforcement facility Wednesday during a tour of the Ennis Police Department.

A proposed new law enforcement center makes up the largest outlay of funds in the Crime Control and Prevention District’s budget, approved Monday by the Ennis City Commission. The budget would be funded by a .25 percent sales tax increase which will go before city voters in November.
