Vendor signups encouraged, banner sales open for business

2010 Polka Festival king and queen Jon Marek and Angela Adamcik wave to the crowd. The couple will hand over the crowns at this year's festival opener on the Friday evening before the weekend festival.

The community of Ennis is focused on all things bluebonnet, but plans are also in the works for next month’s National Polka Festival.

Patriotic banners welcoming visitors to the city are on sale now and vendors for the weekend event are already reserving their place for the festival’s 45th anniversary.

Jeannette Patak, president of the Ennis Chamber of Commerce, said the banners are available now by calling the chamber and she, along with Allen Morris and Martin Zapletal, will be visiting local businesses with the option to purchase them as well.
