Prachyl case dismissed

Before finishing the testimony of one witness, the Ellis County and District Attorney’s office moved to dismiss the rape case against Boston Prachyl on Wednesday 11 months after his initial arrest.
Defense counsel took several hours to cross-examine Breanna Calvert, the 18-year-old woman who claimed her friend raped her, in the morning before a lunch break recess that developed into an extended recess into the early afternoon. Calvert had been the first person called in the state’s case.
