Property values keep rising

Taxable property value growth in Ennis outpaced much of Ellis County this year, growing by more than $36 million from 2012 to 2013.

The most recent valuation by the Ellis County Appraisal District puts Ennis in the No. 3 spot for property value growth, behind frontrunners Midlothian and Red Oak. Midlothian logged more than $90 million in property value increases for the year, with Red Oak pulling in a bit under $44 million in growth.
