Readers set record: 256,000 minutes

Another year of the Ennis Public Library’s Summer Reading Program came to a close Thursday night, with the second grade students taking the crown.

The participants in this year’s program read a total of 256,140 minutes this summer, 22,690 minutes more than last summer’s total. Second grade students lead the pack with 60,410 minutes read.
