Mark Warde, edi...@ennisdailynews.com

A record 24 students from Ennis High School earned Advanced Placement Scholar Awards that reflect their exceptional achievement on the college-level AP program exams.

The announcement came in the form of a press release from EISD’s communications director, Art Del Barrio.

The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program offers students the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school. While doing so, they can earn college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams. About 22 percent of the more than 2.2 million high school students worldwide who took AP Exams performed at a sufficiently high level to also earn an AP Scholar Award.
