Sales tax revenue jumps

Ennis saw its monthly sales tax revenue tally climb by more than 22 percent for September, a boost of more than $65,000.
Ennis collected $361,000 in revenue for the period, up from $295,000 in the same month last year. That represents a growth of 22.39 percent, and Ennis stands now at $3.17 million in total collections for the year, up 4.5 percent from last year’s $3.03 million.
