Sales tax tally rises

Nick Todaro, [email protected]

Ennis continued its march upward in sales tax revenue in August, logging just over 1.5 percent in growth for the period over last year’s revenue figures.

The growth continues a months-long streak of increasing sales tax revenues for the city. Ennis received an allocation of $311,928 from the state this month, up over the $307,108 level in August 2012, according to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
