School board honors Boyd, Strunc

The Ennis ISD Board of Trustees honored two members nearing the end of long terms of service.

Mack Boyd and Miles Strunc received tokens of appreciation from Board President Bramlet Beard for their terms of service on the board.

Boyd served on the board for 15 years, while Strunc served for nine. Strunc announced his retirement at the Feb. 11 school board meeting, citing ongoing health issues. Boyd announced his retirement from the board on Feb. 21.

Beard thanked the men for their service, saying their dedication is a rare thing.
