See you around, Mr. Howerton


Ennis Daily News photo by Nick Todaro / Friends, family, city employees and guests joined outgoing City Manager Steve Howerton (center)?during his last public appearance in that capacity Thursday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ennis for a reception in his honor. Howerton was presented with a plaque from the city and Ennis Chamber of Commerce in honor of his service, as well as a recognition from the American Legion Post No. 361 in Ennis and a resolution from State Rep. Jim Pitts. Howerton has received several state-level recognitions during his tenure as manager of the city, for years of service, outstanding achievement, civic involvement and other accomplishments.
