Storms force area farmers to replant

Last month’s wild weather took a toll on the local cotton crop.
Mark Arnold with the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension service said anywhere from 1,000 to 2.000 acres of cotton had to be replanted after severe weather tore through the region.
However, Arnold said the area’s cotton producers are resilient enough to withstand the blow.
