Students boost food pantry

On Nov. 16, the Ennis Junior High School National Jr. Honor Society and Student Council held a can food drive to help collect can goods for Helping Hands of Ennis. The pantry at Helping Hands was getting bare and they were in need of donations.
The students, faculty, and community helped answer this call by collecting 954 pounds of food.
On Oct. 30, EJHS and Miller Student Council went Trick-or-Treating for can goods in our community and together were able to collect 1,258 pounds of food and $102 that helped buy 306 meals. The community’s donations to the cause are appreciated.
