Tax revenue slips slightly

Ennis saw its sales tax revenue decrease in July after a few bumps in recent months, but is still in the black overall for the year.
July sales tax revenue allocated to cities this month will provide Ennis $333,500, down 3.71 percent from $346,400 in the same month in 2011. Year-to-date, the city has logged $2.5 million in revenue, up from $2.46 million year-to-date in 2011.
