The blooms are coming

The president of the Ennis Garden Club said despite a slow start for this year’s bluebonnets, she expects a display just as large as last year’s bumper crop.

Bluebonnet Trails chairman Sandy Anderson said last year’s weather conditions leading up to the Bluebonnet Festival led to an early bloom, but this year’s crop is set to peak precisely on the week of the festival.
