Despite a courageous effort at home Tuesday night, the Ennis Lions (7-11, 2-4) fell 67-48 to the towering Lancaster Tigers (18-4, 5-1).

“Lancaster is tough. You have to play close to perfect to beat them,” Lion head coach Jerry Mason said. Both teams went into the match with back-to-back wins.

The Lions defeated Mansfield Legacy 32-31 followed with a 64-58 win over Mansfield Summit. The Tigers defeated Mansfield Lake Ridge 78-53 followed with a 92-48 victory over Red Oak.
