Trustee sex case ends in plea deal

Kevin McCulloch, a 39-year-old Ennis resident and former Avalon Independent School District board member, has accepted a 20-year jail term in an outstanding sex abuse case.

McCulloch, indicted in December 2011 for continuous sexual abuse of a child and indecency with a child sexual contact, accepted the deal last week and immediately began serving his sentence, according to online records available through the 40th District Court.
