UIL partially grants appeal

Ennis ISD was partially successful Thursday in fighting worrisome realignment into a far East Texas district in a face-to-face appeal in front of the University Interscholastic League leadership in Austin.

Superintendent John Chapman, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Jack Alvarez and Ennis High School Principal David Averett appealed to the panel in person Thursday, providing a list of reasons why the realignment put a heavy burden on the district both financially and otherwise.
