Unemployment jumps in Ellis County

Unemployment filings jumped significantly in Ellis County in June.
From a 6.7-percent unemployment rate on 4,982 individual filers in May, the county logged a 7.6 percent unemployment rate on 5,774 filers in June, according to unadjusted statistics from the Texas Workforce Commission.
