Van eliminates Bragg’s at state
Bragg’s Appliance played its final game on Tuesday, but not before it won a city title, a district championship and a state tourney game.

The Van Vandals didn’t exactly explode against Bragg’s Appliance at the TTAB freshman state tourney on Tuesday night in Athens, but they also didn’t let the Ennis team ever get going offensively.
Van had a couple of three-run innings early and that proved to be plenty in a 6-0 win that eliminated Bragg’s Appliance (BA). Van finished with more hits (9-1) and fewer errors (1-5). BA seemed to be the much younger team, as Van infielders were significantly larger.
