Ellis County veterans and their supporters filled the Waxahachie Civic Center on Saturday morning to honor the men and women who laid their lives on the line for their country, as well as those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

The annual ceremony, organized by volunteers and funded by a variety of private and corporate sponsorships, pays tribute to Ellis County veterans who fought in America’s wars ranging as far back as World War II and as recent as the Global War on Terror.
