Volunteer opportunities still available with GAKAC

Marty Nelson, coordinator of the annual Give-a-Kid-a-Chance event, said this year’s benefit is all but ready to go Sunday, Aug. 16 at Ennis High School.

Nelson said volunteers will be unloading backpacks, uniforms and school supplies have arrived for 505 families and roughly 1,200 children at EHS this week, and he needs volunteers to pack the bookbags themselves.
