Water main failures resurface this year

A distinct lack of rainfall has left Ennis working in all areas of the city over the last week repairing water system failures due to shifting ground.
The issue crops up most during the dry months of the summer, and lingered into last fall as the city thirsted for significant rainfall. City Manager Steve Howerton said the city typically faces a break or two per week, and faced up to five per week last year.
