It will be interesting to watch Darby Smith (8) and the Lion offense operate tonight with a number of players getting a chance to play new positions against Mesquite Poteet.

Coming off their bye, the Ennis Lions (2-5, 1-4) travel to Mesquite Memorial Stadium at 7:30 p.m. tonight to face a Mesquite Poteet Pirate team (5-3, 3-3) that has lost three-straight games.
Poteet was state-ranked before this trio of losses, which means the Lions may be coming to town at the perfect time.
