‘Whistleblower’ fights back

The Ellis County Commissioners Court refused to rescind the termination of county purchasing agent Alisha Wickens on Monday, while her lawyer contends she was fired in retaliation for whistleblowing.
County Judge Carol Bush read what she called a “by no means exhaustive” list of reasons for Wickens’ termination in open court, per Wickens’ request.
