George Aaron Phinnell (03-12-2010)
George Aaron Phinnell, 81, passed away at the Sterling House of Ennis on Wednesday evening, March 10, 2010.
George was born to William S. and Elizabeth (Wallace) Phinnell on July 9, 1928 in Rhome, Texas. He grew up in Corsicana and graduated from Corsicana High School. He married Mary Katherine Scott in 1949 and after her death married Martha Dodson Richardson on February 2, 1973. In 1956 he moved to Ennis from Corsicana.
He worked for Ennis Business Forms for 39 years as a pressman. George loved to fishing, hunting, cooking, bingo. His true joy was being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Phinnell, her three sons Billy Duncan, and his wife Olga, Leon (Butch) Duncan, his wife Cathy, and and Michael Richardson.
He is also survived by his daughter, Debbie Keever, her husband David. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Katherine Phinnell, and son George Allen Phinnell.
His grandchildren are Christine and Eric Maier, Matt and Erica Keever, Katherine and Thomas Elam, Dustin Duncan, Brandi and Chris Mattox, Jenny and Josh Wylie, Caleb Duncan, and Crystal Duncan.
Visitation will be Friday, March 12, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Muscular Dystrophy Association or the American Diabetes Association.
The family would appreciate notes of rembrance.

W. R. Wright, 80, passed away at the IOOF Nursing Home of Ennis in the early hours of Friday, March 12, 2010.
Services are pending with J.E. Keever Mortuary.
