W.R. Wright (03-17-2010)
W.R. Wright, 80, passed away at the IOOF Nursing Home in Ennis on Friday morning, March 12, 2010.
He was born on June 19, 1929 in Byrd, Texas to Theodore Taft and Lola Faye (Cline) Wright. He was raised in Byrd-Rankin. One July 29, 1950 he married Beatrice Gentry and they made their home in Grand Prairie and Wilmer. In 1962 they moved to Ennis.
He was the owner and operator of Custom Tool Company for over twenty years. He was a member of Creechville Baptist Church. He loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Wright of Ennis; two sons: Gary Wright and his wife, Paula of Oak Grove, Texas and Ricky Wright and his wife, Kathy of Red Oak, Texas: two daughters: Debra Morriss of Ennis and Deanna and her husband, John Dye of Forney, Texas: ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Michael Wayne Wright, one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 15, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at J.E. Keever Mortuary. Services will be Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Re. G. G. Melton and Rev. Lonnie Davis, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
The family would like to give thanks to friends and family. Special thanks to Alice Lewis, Pat Theisen and Penny Arnold for taking such good care of our father. Also want to give special thanks to the Sterling House, IOOF Nursing Home and Family First Hospice.
