Enrique B. Gonzales (04-06-2010)
Enrique B. Gonzales, 88, left this life on Saturday, April 3, 2010 from the Ennis Regional Medical Center.He was born in Cotulla, Texas on July 15, 1921 to Eulio and Mary Lou B Gonzales. He grew up in Cotulla. On Dec. 16, 1942 he married Frances Martinez and they made their home in Cotulla until 1959 when they moved to the Ennis area.
Enrique was a faithful ranch hand for the Hindes Ranch for 14 years and then for the Longhorn Ranch for over forty years. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Frances Gonzales of Crisp; two grandchildren Jamie and her husband Keith Rosson of Ennis and Ed Watson of Ennis; four great grandchildren; Walker Rosson, Tucker Rosson, Cortney Watson and Katie Watson and one daughter-in-law June Gonzales Crow along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eulio Gonzales and Mary Lou B. Gonzales, one son Juan M. "Johnny" Gonzales in 1978 and one brother Ismael Sosa.
Rosary will be Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at J.E. Keever Mortuary.
Mass of the Christian burial will be Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. in St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Fred Caldwell and Rev. John Dick officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
