Sallie Kate Feagins (04-19-2010)
Sallie Kate Feagins, 97, passed away peacefully at the Ennis Regional Medical Center on Thursday, April 15, 2010.
Kate was born in Bristol, Tennessee on March 10, 1913 to I.M. and Fannie (White) Brazier. She lived in Tennessee until the age of 6 and then her family moved to the Palmer-Bristol area. She attended school at Palmer. On March 23, 1935 she married Edward S. Feagins and they made their home in Ennis and she resided in the same home for more than seventy-five years.
She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Ennis and First Baptist Church of Palmer.
She is survived by one son, Sam Weldon Feagins and his wife, Jean, of Canton: one daughter Nancy Kay and her husband, Jimmy Swindell of Ennis: three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward S. Feagins on November 11, 1998, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be Monday, April 19, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at J.E. Keever Mortuary. Services will be Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Tom Porter officiating. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
