Georgia Marie Byrd (04-27-2010)
Georgia Marie Byrd, 68, passed away peacefully at her home in Ennis on Sunday, April 25, 2010.Georgia was born in Ennis on March 28, 1942 to Joseph E. and Angeline (Vrana) Kubin. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John’s High School and then attended University of Dallas. Georgia made her home in Ennis.
She worked for the Ennis hospital for over 30 years as a Radiology Technician. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and KJZT #16 of Ennis. She loved sports and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by four sons; James Byrd and his wife, Wendy of Celina, David Byrd and his wife, Tammy of Dallas, Peter Byrd and his wife, Patty of Rowlett and Adam Byrd and his wife, Michelle of Frisco; ten grandchildren; one brother: George Kubin of Ennis and one sister Evelyn Wilson of Ennis. She is preceded in death by one daughter Andra Lynn Byrd and one brother Raymond Kubin.
The family wishes to thank Family First Hospice and give a special thanks to her personal caregivers Arline, Mary, Alisa, Larika and Christi.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Family First Hospice, Inc., 109 S.W. Main Steet, Ennis, TX 75119. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. in J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel.
