Agnes Krajca Chudej (06-15-2010)
Agnes Krajca Chudej, 77, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano.Agnes was born on Sept. 26, 1932 to Riley and Theresa (Kubin) Krajca in Ennis, Texas. She grew up in Ennis and attended the St. John Catholic Schools. On August 25, 1950 she married Jerry Chudej and they made their home in Ennis.
She has been a nurse since 1963 and worked for several healthcare facilities in Ennis including the Ennis Hospital, Medical Arts and several local physicians. Agnes was a loving, caring nurse who was always there to lend a helpful hand. She was a member of KJZT #16, SPJST Lodge #135, SOKOL Ennis and St. John Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of others.
She is survived by one son, Stephen Chudej and his wife, Dr. Delia Hejny of Plano; one daughter, Monica Popko and her husband, Bill Latte of Carrollton; three grandchildren: Angela Stempien, Haley Chudej and Travis Chudej and one great grandchild, Vincent Stempien. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Chudej, her parents and three of her four sisters.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Agnes Chudej.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 10 a.m. in St. John Catholic Church with interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
