Helen Louise Smith (06-22-2010)
Helen Louise Smith, 88, passed away in Stephenville early Sunday morning, June 20, 2010 at the Lighthouse Assisted Living Center.Helen was born on Aug. 6, 1921 in Rankin, Texas to Evertt and Ruby (Head) Worthy. She grew in Rankin and graduated from Bardwell High School. On April 6, 1942 she married Louis A. Smith and they originally made their home in Las Vegas, Nevada before moving to Odessa, Texas and them to Dublin, Texas in 1963.
Helen was a member of the Edna Hill Baptist Church. She loved to sew, crochet, dance and help the family on the farm.
She is survived by her husband Louis A. Smith and several cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. in Myrtle Cemetery with John L. Sullivan officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
