Beatrice Wilkerson Autrey

Beatrice Wilkerson Autrey, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in Ennis, Texas. She was born in Palmer, Texas on December 1, 1916 the daughter of George and Sallie (Richardson) Wilkerson. She was reared in Palmer and graduated from Palmer High School in 1935. On October 1, 1936 she was married to Walton LeRoy Lynn of McKinney who preceded her in death on May 19, 1963. To this union one son, Coy Gene Lynn was born. They moved to Ennis in 1942 where Mr. Lynn was employed by Southern Pacific Railroad. Beatrice was employed at The Banner Company Insurance here in Ennis for thirty years retiring in 1986. On October 8, 1986 Beatrice married Ernest Autrey of Palmer and they made their home in Ennis. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ennis, Rebekah Lodge #104, Charter member of Chapter #1571 AARP and was a charter member of the Golden Circle Senior Citizens of Ennis. She is survived by one son, Coy Gene Lynn and his wife, Glenda: three grandchildren: six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donation be made in Beatrice’s name to either Crosspoint Baptist Church of Ennis or to the Texas Baptist Home for Children in Waxahachie. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with the Celebration of her Life to be held at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel on Friday, March 1, 2013. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. www.jekeevermortuary.com
