Carl “Bud” Oran Butler Jr.
Carl ”Bud” Oran Butler, Jr., 70, went to be with The Lord on Monday, February 10, 2014. Bud was born on August 5, 1943 in Itasca, Texas to Carl Oran Butler and Mildred Lorraine Isbell Butler. He grew up in Alvarado, Texas and eventually moved to Palmer, Texas where he graduated from Palmer High School. In December 1961 he married Etheleen Krajca Butler and they made their home in Palmer. He began working for Tyler Refrigeration, where he drove a truck for many years. Bud thrived for any opportunity to fix things or build things. He was a man that loved to provide and support for his family and was defined by his work ethic and determination to succeed at any job, including bailing hay and farming whenever he was not driving a truck. Bud is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Ethie Butler, his son, Chad Butler; his daughter-in-laws: Renee Butler and Monica Butler; his four grandchildren: Magen Butler, Molloy Butler, Conner Butler and Tyler Butler; two great-grandchildren: Brady Sparkman and soon to be born Jolee Sparkman and four sisters: Gene Sadler, Barbara Hauser, Lynn Wickline and Patricia Paterson. Bud is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Carl Butler III. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his will take place on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Pallbearers will be Conner Butler, Tyler Butler, Geraldo Munoz, Mike Fennel, Lance Anglin, Ted Young, William McElyea, Brian Almond, and one honorary pallbearer Jarrell Raymond.
