Caroline F. Gonzales

Caroline F. Gonzales, age 87, of Lubbock, passed away Thursday, July 19. 2012 in Lubbock. She was born on April 11, 1925 in Sinton, Texas to Francisco and Angelita (Villanueva) Fira. She moved to Ennis in 1963 and owned and operated a Taxi Cab Business. Caroline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survivors include two daughters, Angie Rodriguez and her husband Rolando of Lubbock, and Beatrice Brown and her husband Jerry of Bakersfield, California; sons, Leroy and Steven Cedillo of Lubbock; grandchildren, Terri, Linda, Tammy, JoAnn, Carleen, Isreal, Kerry, and Danny; 26 great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren; brothers, Ben Fira and Mario Fira; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Gonzales; her parents; son, Jerry Gonzales; four brothers and five sisters. The family will receive friends Monday, July 23, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 24 , 2012 at Saint John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant.
