Charly Curtis
Charly Curtis, 60, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012 in Ennis, Texas.
Charly was born on May 26, 1952 to Amos and Mabeth (Kearly) Curtis in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in Balch Springs, Texas and graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School in 1970. He attended Texas A&M University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Science. In 1987 he married Elizabeth Northcutt and they made their home in Dallas. He worked for the City of Mesquite Police Department and was a cabinet maker and general contractor. He attended the New Hope Baptist Church of Kemp. He was an accomplished wood worker, guitarist, hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed archery and golf. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Curtis; two sons: Ben Curtis and his wife, Heather and Casey Curtis and his partner, Kat; two daughters Wendy and her husband, James McKinney and Tiffany Curtis; his mother, Mabeth Curtis, six grandchildren: Michael Penny, Tristen Penny, Stella Curtis, Detrych Curtis, Myles Redman and Dylan Willard: two brothers: Walter Curtis and his wife, Nona and Randy Curtis; one sister, Amber and her husband Larry McDonald and his best friend Rick Lower. He was preceded in death by his father Amos Curtis.
