Chlotea “Tillie” Harrison
Chlotea “Tillie” Harrison, 84, passed away in Ennis on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Tillie was born in Ennis on December 3, 1928 to Carl and Gladys (Hand) Johnson. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1946. On May 10, 1947 she married William J. “Blackie” Harrison and they made their home in Ennis. They then moved to Dallas in 1948 where they developed their careers and raised their family. After retirement, Tillie moved back to Ennis in 1993. She worked for Kroger Food Store for thirty years as an account manager. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Ennis. She enjoyed reading, cooking, playing cards and dominoes with the ladies, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by sons: Russell Harrison and his wife, Annie of Mesquite, Joe Harrison and his wife, Jone of Flower Mound and Mike Harrison and his wife, Pam of Ennis; ten grandchildren: seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Blackie Harrison in June of 1975. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 10 a.m. until service time. A Celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.
