Daniel “Danny” Espedal


 

Daniel “Danny” Espedal, 67, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday, December 4, 2013. Danny was born on July 17, 1946 to Leonard J. and Edy (Stanberry) Espedal in Eugene, Oregon. He grew up in Los Altos, California and in Ennis, Texas. He graduated from Ennis High School in 1964. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy serving one tour in Vietnam. After discharge from the Navy he moved to Austin, Texas and then back to Ennis. He was the owner of Espedal Piano Service for over thirty years and The Piano Shop in Austin, Texas. He was a gifted pianist and was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church. He enjoyed writing and recording music. He is survived by two sons: Nick Espedal and his wife Shivonne of McKinney and David Espedal and his wife, Monica of Ennis; one daughter, Mary Hickman and her husband, Chris of Allen; four grandchildren and one sister Debby Winterowd and her husband, Bobby of Ennis. He is preceded in death by his parents. Memorial graveside services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 10 a.m. in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E.
