Donald Lee Cook

Donald Lee Cook, age 73, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at his home near Gorman. The memorial service will be 10:00 A. M. Thursday at the Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Watson officiating. Donald was born October 1, 1939 in Gorman, Texas to Enoch Hooper Cook and Mildred Marie (Craighead) Cook. He married Wilma Fay Thompson on June 27, 1959 in Eastland County. He graduated from Carbon High School in 1958 and attended Howard Payne University. He worked for the Frito Lay Company for 16 years. Donald also worked in the retail grocery business for several years. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Fay Cook of Gorman; one son, Terry Don Cook and wife, Sherri of Gorman; two daughters, Tereasa Cook of Burleson and Tammi Murray and husband, Larry of Ashdown, AR; three brothers, Weldon Cook and wife, Fredda of Lamesa, Jerry Cook and wife, Martha of Ennis and Lyndal Cook of Snyder; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Tracy Cook and one brother, Jimmy Cook and sister-in-law, Lynda Cook.
