Irl McCaffety, Jr.
Mr. Irl McCaffety, Jr. passed away at his home, Friday, July 27, 2012. Irl was born November 26, 1927 in Danbury, Texas to Irl Chilton and Madie Agnes (Barrett) McCaffety. He went to school in Midway, Texas. On July 9, 1977 he was married to Pearl Walton. They moved to the Ennis area at that time. A cabinet maker by trade, Irl was the owner of McCaffety Woodworks from 1973 to 2010. He was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in Ennis and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was very handy and loved working with his hands to create useful and beautiful things from wood. Irl is survived by his wife, Pearl; four sons: Michael McCaffety and his wife Charlote of Fairfield, Texas, Gary McCaffety of Ennis, Texas, Mitch and Deborah Williams of Konawa, Oklahoma and Clyde and Laurie Williams of Ennis, Texas; two daughters: Denise and her husband Larry Dean of Grand Prairie, Texas and Glenda Cunningham of Corsicana, Texas; one brother, Eugene McCaffety of Huntsville, Texas; twenty grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the J. E. Keever Mortuary Chapel, 408 N.
